Beer Bread Recipe

Adjust it however you want the taste to be either you want it cheesy? Add cheese. Want it to be sweet? Use sugar and cinnamon, and little butter instead. If this is the first time you are making beer bread? Trust me this is the easiest thing anyone can ever make. You simply need 6 ingredients baking powder, salt, beer, all-purpose flour, honey and butter. I also call it honey beer bread. It takes less than an hour, the most mouth-watering, buttery, soft will be yours to enjoy! The beer acts in place of yeast, along with the baking powder. The alcohol evaporates in the baking process. Many of you must be thinking that the bread will taste like BEER but believe me it doesn’t taste as if you are drinking Beer. Instead the beer adds flavor to the finished bread. If you haven’t given a try, I will suggest just try it. I am sure you will love it.


  1. 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  2. 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  3. 1 Teaspoon Sea Salt
  4. 1/4th cup Honey
  5. 355ml Beer
  6. Butter for brushing the tin


  1. Firstly, take a bowl and sieve flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Secondly, add honey to the dry ingredients and mix them well.
  3. Thirdly, add the beer to dry mixture simultaneously and mix it well.
  4. Brush the tin with butter and preheat the oven at 150 degrees centigrade.
  5. Finally put it in the oven for 45 minutes at 150 degrees centigrade.

NOTE- Most of the people use self-rising flour but in case if you don’t find self-rising flour, can use above mention recipe, but if you want to use self-rising flour do not put baking powder because self-rising flour is a mixture of all-purpose flour and baking powder.


BAKING TIME- 45 minutes

TOTAL TIME- 55 Minutes.
