Dragon Fruit Mojito

Dragon fruit is one of the expensive fruit compare to others, thus it exceeds the supply available. It is grown from Hylocereus cactus which is native to southern Mexico and Central America. The first time I tried dragon fruit was 5-6 years ago when I just fall in love with the fruit’s color, taste, and texture. So, I usually buy my groceries I check for it, but either the price is too high or it’s out of stock but this time I got it at a really good price so, finally I bought it. It just takes a few minutes to make this amazing dragon fruit mojito. Muddle dragon fruit along with mint and add in the rum and simple syrup and stir it well. The aroma and taste of the cocktail are just so good and refreshing, it gives a fresh aroma to the drink. Usually, in cocktails, we add juices or sugar which loses the fresh aroma of the fruit but this was just amazing.


  1. 1 Dragon Fruit
  2. ½ Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  3. 6-7 Mint Leaves
  4. 1 + ½ Oz Rum
  5. ½ Oz Simple Syrup


  1. Firstly remove the leaves of dragon fruit and cut them into small pieces. Then, in the manual crusher add in the skin as well as the inside part of dragon fruit along with mint leaves and crush it with a manual crusher or with a muddler until it becomes a thick paste.
  2. Secondly, add some lemon juice and stir it well.
  3. Thirdly, add the thick paste in a glass and add rum and simple syrup.
  4. Finally, stir it well and top it up with some fresh mint leaves.


TOTAL TIME- 15 minutes
