Manchurian Recipe

What are you eating for dinner? Here is one of the delicious Veg Manchurian recipe. This Manchurian is a tasty Indo-Chinese dish of fried balls in a spicy, sweet and tangy sauce. This cabbage Manchurian is made with cabbage, carrots, sauces, ginger garlic paste, cornflour, and all-purpose flour. This sauce gives a spicy and sweet flavor to the Manchurian. You can add more vegetables like capsicum, corn, beans, and scallions. I like to make Manchurian simple not with too many vegetables so I just added carrots and cabbage. You can also make it with chicken, prawns, and fish. It is served along with fried rice. So let me know how did you like your Manchurian.


For Manchurian Balls

  1. 250gms Cabbage
  2. 1 Carrot
  3. 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  4. Salt to Taste
  5. 2 Tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
  6. 1 Tablespoon Corn Flour
  7. Oil for Frying

For Gravy

  1. 1 Tablespoon Oil
  2. 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  3. ¼th Cup Cabbage
  4. ¼th Cup Carrot (Julienne )
  5. 3 Tablespoon Corn Flour + 1 Cup Water
  6. Salt to Taste
  7. 2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  8. 1 Teaspoon Vinegar
  9. 2 Tablespoon Chili Sauce
  10. 1 Teaspoon Tomato Ketchup


For Manchurian Balls

  1. Firstly, Add cabbage and carrot to a food processor and grind it. Then take it in a bowl and add ginger garlic paste, salt, flour, and cornflour. Mix it well.
  2. Secondly, using your palm make tiny balls with the mixture. Make sure the balls are not too small and not too big.
  3. Finally, deep fry them on slow to medium flame until they are brown.

For Gravy

  1. Firstly, add oil to the pan and then add ginger garlic paste, sauté for 30 seconds or so. Then add shredded carrot and cabbage and mix it well.
  2. Secondly, in a bowl add cornflour and water mix it well so there are no lumps left. Then, add the cornflour mixture to the pan and let it mix well the vegetables.
  3. Then add salt, soy sauce, chili sauce, and tomato ketchup and mix it well. Let the gravy thicken. 
  4. Finally, add the Manchurian balls to gravy, and Manchurian is ready. Serve Hot.


COOKING TIME- 30 minutes

TOTAL TIME- 50 minutes
