Samosa Recipe

Samosa a famous Indian dish or snack, no one can say NO for this. Every Indian tries to find a new samosa recipe every time. Anytime is SAMOSA time. It is the most commonly eaten snack in India. This dish is famous for parties, street food, and cafes. It is spicy potato filling with crispy outer covering. It is a favorite snack for kids. While preparing the dough, it has to be hard. You need to deep fry it on a low flame and wait till it turns nice brown color. Once you come to know how to prepare it, you will never buy it from outside trust me.

The best thing about this is that you can keep samosa frozen for moth by half frying them. My mom always keep them in the freezer so anytime we are late for work or maybe hungry in evening she fries these delicious samosa for us. My family is ever ready for having a chat time as well as a fun time. A perfect, yummy, spicy, and delicious dish to have it for a small family gathering. INGREDIENTS FOR SAMOSA RECIPE

For the Dough

  1. 400gms All-Purpose Flour
  2. Salt to Taste
  3. 3 Tablespoon Oil
  4. 1 Teaspoon Ajwain (Ajowan Caraway)
  5. 200ml Water

For the Paste

  1. 20gms Mint
  2. 20gms Coriander
  3. 10gms Ginger
  4. 4 Green Chili

For the Mixture

  1. 2 Teaspoon Oil
  2. 1 Teaspoon Cumin
  3. 1 Teaspoon Kasoori Methi
  4. ½ Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  5. 1+ ½ Teaspoon Dried Mango Powder
  6. ½ Teaspoon Black Salt
  7. ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
  8. Salt to Taste
  9. ¼th Teaspoon Chili Flakes
  10. ¼thTeaspoon Saunf (Fennel)
  11. ½ Teaspoon Coriander Seeds
  12. ½ Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  13. ¼th Teaspoon Garam Masala
  14. 5 Big Potatoes (Boiled & Diced)

SAMOSA RECIPE – PREPARATION METHOD

For the Dough

  1. Firstly, mix the flour, salt, oil, and ajwain and rub with the palm. Then add water and make a stiff dough. Rest the dough for at least one hour.

For the Mixture

  1. Firstly, peel and dice the potatoes and then boil them with some salt. Drain and cool the potatoes.
  2. Secondly, make the paste with all the above ingredients by adding it to the food processor and grinding it.
  3. Thirdly, heat the oil, crackle cumin, and add all the above ingredients and cook for a minute. Then, add the paste and cook further.
  4. Finally, add the potatoes and mix well. Check the seasoning and let it cool.

For Assembling

  1. Firstly, divide the dough into 6 portions. Roll it into an oblong shape. Then cut into half.
  2. Secondly, make a cone and add enough amount of potato mixture. Seal the cone by applying a bit of water and flour mixture at the edges. Rest it for 15  minutes.
  3. Finally, deep fry on very low flame and serve hot.

PREPARATION TIME- 1 hour

COOKING TIME- 15 minutes

TOTAL TIME- 1 hour 15 minutes
